Jesse James Scott has had a long career in performing music and teaching. After graduating from San Rafael High School in Marin County California, he received a scholarship to study the Bass at the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music, in Boston, Massachusetts. While at the Conservatory, he won a concerto competition for the Marin Symphony; toured with summer festivals in Germany, Italy, France, Spain as well as the United States, recorded with the Taipei Symphony on the live Air Supply album “Now and Forever” (Giant Records) and performed with the Boston Philharmonic.
After graduating with his Bachelors in 1996, Jesse was awarded a scholarship to The Boston Conservatory of Music where he double majored in Education and Bass Performance. After earning his double masters in 1998 he returned home to start teaching music at Novato High School. One year later, he began teaching at Brandeis Hillel Day School in Marin where he has been ever since.
Jesse is no stranger to hard rockin’ music as his dad is the famous DJ “Wild Bill Scott”. Jesse was influenced at a very young age citing his first experience an AC/DC Concert in Detroit at the age of five. He performed for two years with Van Halen Tribute band “Panama” and now plays with ROCK SKOOL. He also gives private lessons on bass and guitar and runs the famous Marin based summer camp Rock On.
Playing both locally and nationally with HOT FOR TEACHER is a thrilling punctuation to his already impressive record of talent!
