“Hey, I heard you missed us, we’re back!”
In June of 2022, HOT FOR TEACHER rocked the halls with a nostalgic return performance at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. The NAMM Show is an annual event in the United States that is organized by the National Association of Music Merchants, who describe it as “the industry’s largest stage, uniting the global music, sound and entertainment technology communities”
Upon the band’s return, and a well-earned Summer break was enjoyed, the 23 year long saga of HFT continues.
Lead Guitarist, Tommy Merry, has taken on his life’s dream to travel extensively and relocate to a beautiful tropical location to live in wonderment and peacefulness. He had worked the strings for over 9 years with Davey Pattison’s Gamma (2014-2018) and then gave HFT 5 years of glorious rifts from 2018 to 2022. We’ll miss him a lot and wish him all the best.
Soon after, drummer extraordinaire, Randy “Rossman” Ross has bid us farewell to join another favorite band of ours, Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers, an acclaimed tribute to ZZ Top. We couldn’t be more excited and look forward to sharing stages in the future.
“I think of all the education that I’ve missed – But then my homework was never quite like this!”
Now join us in loudly and joyfully welcoming on board the HOT FOR TEACHER bus, Jeremy von Epp from The Watchers! Jeremy brings a heavier edge and a melodic sound which will make every great VH song come alive with new vibes. His professional skill and talent will definitely thrill audiences!
Also alongside band veterans – singer Randy Monroe and bassist Jesse Scott – HFT’s founding drummer and monster skin-bashing wildman, Billy Davies, returns after 20 years! This amazing line-up is sure to “melt some faces” with crisp sound, keen technical ability, sonically accurate melodies, and fresh harmonies!
We express our gratitude and love to all of our fans who have known us since we began in 1999 – and to all of our new fans who may just be finding out about us. We can’t wait to see all of you at our next show!
“We got it bad, got it bad, got it bad, we’re HOT FOR TEACHER!”
