Well, HOT FOR TEACHER made it back from NAMM 2010 in Anaheim last week and the show was “off-da-hook” smashing. There were well over 3,500 people with a line outside the Hilton vying to get in. The crowd on hand included many famous celebrities and rock stars some of which performed earlier in the evening at a variety of venues and raced back for the newest of NAMM traditions; the HFT annual closing party event; three years running and we’ve already been asked back for number four! The Boyz blazed through a 75 minute set that included a cameo appearance by Brad Gillis and Joel Hoekstra of Night Ranger doing “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”.
Coming up at the end of the month, victim of the sciences guru and “Atomic Punk” Randy Monroe and the fellas of HOT FOR TEACHER — The Van Halen Experience have been asked to start a new “once a month live band night” and will be bustin’ a serious VH groove on Saturday Night January 30 in order to bring the bay area’s “hottest” new dance night club “Sapphire” in to the S.F. Bay area and national spotlight, for some “live” and guaranteed booty shakin’ music!
“Sapphire” located at 2300 1st St Livermore, CA 94550 is fastly becoming the East Bay and Tri-Valley area’s answer to S.F.’s Ruby Skye. The Price is Right ’cause the fee is only $5.00 for a live kick-ass band; Sapphire’s covering this HFT Party.
“Sapphire” is also featured in today’s (Thursday 1/21/10) Contra Costa Times.
Former guitarist and founding member Terry Lauderdale will make his first San Francisco Bay area appearance with the band since 2007. You won’t wanna miss this gig. The show starts at 10:00PM.
